European Ghosts Co-Creation Residency Open Call Extended to July 25th!

The EUROPEAN GHOSTS Residency will take place in 3-day segments from September 13th to 22nd 2021.

Due to the uncertainty brought on by the pandemic, we are extending the deadline to July 25th. Interested artists should send their biography, CV and expression of interest to the email: residency@europeanghosts.com

We encourage under-represented gender artists and musicians to apply. European Ghosts is an equal-opportunity project and following the Keychange movement we will “take a stand so we don’t miss out on unique talent and artful expressions” (quoted from the Keychange website).

During the residency, room and board will be provided at the Clouds Hill studio apartment. No travel compensation is possible to get to and from the studio in Hamburg; artists should seek national support or other means of support to cover their travels (please DO get in touch if there is no national support in any given Member State, so we are aware of the situation). A letter of invitation will be issued to selected participants and the selection will take place from the launch of the Open Call all the way to its closing date, at 18:00 July 25th, with results announced by July 30th.

The Applicant’s expression of interest letter should clearly state:

• The Artist’s Folk Tradition and Cultural Reference Points
• His or Her Innovative Musical Approach and/or Style
• Areas of particular interest (musical, geographical etc.)
• Choice of Preferred Dates:
  – (A) Sep. 13-15
  – (B) Sep. 16-18
  – (C) Sep. 19-21
